According to authorities, Pearson allegedly said “Didn’t I tell you that I was going to get you?” before shooting Myers up to 13 times in the back. According to the testimony given in court, Pearson fired at least two shots while standing over Myers’ body. He and Myers had fought before.
Once tests revealed the handgun was the murder weapon and had a DNA connection to Pearson, police discovered it in a freezer at Pearson’s home.
On March 27, Pearson will receive his sentence. He will be given a mandatory life sentence without the possibility of release.
