After receiving information that a “safety concern” existed at a high school in Alhambra on Friday morning, the police conducted an investigation into the school.
As of 11:30 in the morning, the whole student body and Mark Keppal High School staff were instructed to leave the building and seek shelter in outdoor areas.

According to reports made by officials from the school system at the time, there was no immediate threat.
The lockdown was lifted just before noon on Monday after the Alhambra police department declared their investigation complete, declared the area safe, and raised the lockdown.
