STATESBORO, Ga. – Following an incident at a private after-prom gathering, new safety measures will be implemented at Statesboro High School beginning this week.
Bulloch County Schools have reported that there was a gunshot at a private venue on Saturday night, just following the prom held at Statesboro High School.
Officials indicate that one individual was shot, but there are no injuries that are considered to be life-threatening.
Even though the school didn’t officially sanction the gathering, most of those who showed out were kids from Bulloch County Schools.

Officials from the school have stated that there is no specific known threat to the pupils. Still, they have decided to boost the number of law enforcement officers who provide security at the school out of an abundance of caution.
