The driver of the Jeep was an 80-year-old man, and his passenger was a 70-year-old woman. The two were involved in a collision with a tiny school bus. Both were deemed to be in severe condition and were sent to Jacobi Hospital.

Justice Kwanza, the witness who talked to CBS2, stated that he attempted to assist.

“The driver was trying to get out, but he could because of his legs. He couldn’t feel the legs and it took fire service 45 minutes to an hour. They had to cut the door,” Kwanza stated.

Seeing that he could not assist them, Kwanza turned his attention to the passengers on the school bus.

“Inside the bus, it was people screaming like a movie, chaos,” says Kwanza.

“All of a sudden I heard a loud bang and I looked out the window and saw total chaos over here, a lot of action going on here. Everybody was running, getting people out the cars, and it was very serious,” the man stated.

The bus firm, Mar-Can Transportation Inc., was contacted by CBS2, but the company had no comment on the collision.
