Suri Holmes, daughter of Katie Holmes, reportedly submitted a university application to study fashion.
Before turning 17 next month, the daughter of “Dawson’s Creek” actress 44, and actor, 60, Tom Cruise, has reportedly begun submitting college applications to study fashion at Fordham University in New York City.
A source told DailyMail.com: “Suri is applying to schools everywhere. (Katie) does want her to stay in New York to be close.”
Tom, the “Top Gun: Maverick” actor, reportedly agreed to pay Katie, whom he divorced in 2012, $400,000 monthly until Suri became 18. It is assumed that this maintenance payment for Suri will assist in financing her college education.
Tom had reportedly pledged to cover all of Suri’s expenditures, including “medical, dental, insurance, education, college, and other extracurricular costs,” according to the papers.
An insider added to DailyMail.com: “Tom has always maintained his responsibilities regarding financial obligations to Katie and Suri.”
They continued Suri’s tendency towards independence, “Being raised by a single mother in New York has made Suri who she is. Suri loves her mom more than everything, and Katie has always put her needs above her own.
“She is a smart girl, becoming a very intelligent, mature woman. “She has a very close group of loyal friends and knows exactly where she comes from.”
According to rumors, Suri has a wardrobe worth between $2 and $5 million. She also enjoys music in addition to fashion.

Suri sang “Blue Moon” on the soundtrack for Katie’s 2022 romantic comedy “Alone Together,” and her mother commented, “I always want the highest level of talent.”
“So I asked her. She’s very, very talented. She said she would do and recorded it, and I let her do her thing.”
Katie also spoke with Elle. When she was four years old, Suri had been making comments about her clothing.
She added: “Today I’m wearing brown suede pants, and she said, ‘I don’t like your pants.’”
“But then she’ll say, ‘You’ve got to wear these shoes,’ or, ‘That’s so pretty, Mom. Wear that.’ She’s got a great eye.”
After one year of dating, Katie wed Tom in an Italian ceremony in November 2006, and six years later, alleging irreconcilable differences, she filed for divorce.
