Travis Ely Car Accident
On Sunday, October 15, 2023, a car crash claimed the life of Travis Ely. Travis Ely was apparently confirmed dead following the incident that happened while traveling back to base following the ACA fishing competition, the Collegiate Bass Championship.
“It’s with an Incredibly heavy heart I share this. Travis Ely was an athlete, a friend, a brother, and a son to two of the most amazing parents I’ve ever met. I was just talking to him less than 24 hours ago, and there are a million different things I wish I would’ve said. If I had to sum it all up, I would say thank you for being an amazing friend for over 10 years, thank you for all the things we’ve been though and you have helped me though. I love you brother and I’m proud of all the things you’ve accomplished. Rest easy Trav.”
Travis was a Nashville, Indiana native who attended Purdue University. At the Purdue University Fishing Team in West Lafayette, Indiana, Travis Perkins Ely was a teammate.
