16-Year-Old Killed in Car Accident Near Emmaus High School

Lehigh County Coroner Daniel Buglio reports that a 16-year-old male was the victim of a tragic car collision that happened on Tuesday at 2:55 p.m. on Cedar Crest Boulevard close to Emmaus High School.

In a written report, Buglio stated that the victim was a passenger in a car. He stated that the autopsy will be finished on Wednesday.

He stated that the coroner’s office is currently notifying next of kin and that there is an active and ongoing investigation into the occurrence involving several authorities.

The route near the high school athletic fields was closed by authorities at North Street. A supervisor with the Lehigh County 911 Center reported that the route was still closed at 5:30 p.m.

The Emmaus Police Department, the Lehigh County Accident Reconstruction Team, and the Lehigh County District Attorney’s office are investigating in addition to the coroner’s office.
