Brandon Marsh Biography
Jake and Sonja Marsh welcomed Marsh into the world on December 18, 1997, in Buford, Georgia. He was a multi-sport athlete who played baseball, basketball, and American football as a child. Marsh increased in height from 5 feet 9 inches (1.75 m) to 6 feet 4 inches (1.93 m) throughout his four years at Buford High School.
It wasn’t until he reached his larger frame that college recruiters took notice. Marsh hit.370 with fifteen runs batted in (RBI) in his junior baseball season.
Together, he and future Major League Baseball (MLB) catcher Joey Bart led Buford to a state championship in the Georgia High School Association. Marsh batted.559 the next season with three home runs and twenty-five RBI. Buford made it back to the state final. However, they were defeated by Locust Grove High School.

Brandon Marsh’s Professional Career
Marsh was chosen by the Los Angeles Angels in the second round of the 2016 MLB Draft, 60th overall, out of high school. He had committed to play baseball for the Kennesaw State Owls in college at the time.
Marsh eventually decided to skip his college commitment and accept a $1.07 million signing bonus with Los Angeles to start his professional baseball career, despite having earlier informed the media that he would not join the team.
After being signed by the AZL Angels, a Rookie-level team in the Los Angeles farm system, Marsh was placed on the injured list for the whole of the season due to an asymptomatic back injury.
Marsh, on the other hand, worked out during the offseason in the Dominican Republic, the Arizona Instructional League, and the minor league spring training complex of the Angels. In his first three Pioneer League games as a professional, Marsh batted 533, scored eight runs, and had six RBIs for the Orem Owlz in 2017.
Marsh sprained his thumb on June 28, just seven games into his professional career, while sliding into a base. After missing a month due to injury, he made a full recovery on July 28. In 39 games, he finished the season with a batting average of 350, 22 extra-base hits, and 44 RBIs.
Marsh started the 2018 baseball season as a Low-A affiliate of the Angels with the Burlington Bees. Following a 0 for-11 start to the season, Marsh went on an eight-game hitting run that resulted in a.299 batting average by the end of April.
In 34 Midwest League games, Marsh batted—296 with three home runs and twenty-four RBIs. On May 18, he was promoted to the Class A-Advanced Inland Empire 66ers.
After going 3-for-41 in his first ten games in the California League, Marsh had a difficult time adjusting, and at the end of May, hitting coordinators worked with him to shorten his swing and increase his pitch contact. In 93 California League games, he batted.256 at the end of the season, finishing with seven home runs and 46 RBI in 371 at-bats.
