James Workman Middle School Kids Received a Video With Guns; a Father and a 12-year-old Were Apprehended!

Police say that a 12-year-old middle school student in Coachella Valley was taken into custody Wednesday morning after he threatened his classmates.

The Cathedral City Police Department said that the boy sent a video to other James Workman Middle School students in which he made threats and showed several guns.

Officers got a search warrant and went to the boy’s house in the 67700 block of Verona Road. There, they found several weapons. Since the house was close to Rio Vista Elementary School, police asked for a temporary lockdown to keep everyone safe.
