On February 14, 2023, Deborah L. Wells, 65, of Temple, died away quietly at Sinking Spring Rehabilitation. She was the late Lawrence V. and Josephine T. (Gattone) Wells’ daughter and was born in Reading, Pennsylvania, on March 5, 1957.
Deborah attended Reading Area Community College after graduating from Reading High School and completed her undergraduate studies there as well. She worked as a secretary for Agere, MetEd, and AT&T, among other companies. Her beloved puppy, “Corkee,” was pride and joy of Deborah.
She is survived by her sisters, Cynthia, the spouse of Frank Mertz of Arkansas, and Jacqueline L., the wife of Ronald L. Bowman of Wyomissing. Her nieces Heather McGill and Michelle McKinney, both of Arkansas, and their offspring are still alive.

A graveside service will be held in Gethsemane Cemetery, 3139 Kutztown Rd, Reading, PA 19605, on Monday, February 20, at 11 a.m. Donations can be made to the Animal Rescue League of Berks County at 58 Kennel Rd, Birdsboro, PA 19508 in lieu of flowers.
