Larry Dunham died in Port Charlotte, Florida, on March 6, 2023. Robert and Ruth Dunham gave birth to Larry in Seminole, Oklahoma, but he spent his early years in Bakersfield.
His schooling continued at Bakersfield College and San Jose State College, where he received a Bachelor’s degree after graduating from Bakersfield High School and participating in the varsity football program.
Larry was a successful businessman, owning and running a restaurant supply firm in downtown Bakersfield. But golf was his genuine passion.
He participated actively in numerous competitions around Kern county and was a competitive player at the Bakersfield Country Club. He retired to Florida in the early 1990s, where he continued to play the game in a more comfortable environment.

In addition to his grandchildren Logan, Ridgely, and Aspen, Larry is survived by his children Justin Dunham of Kansas City, Cecily Dunham of Phoenix, and Matthew Dunham of Santa Barbara.
