According to police, a Texas high school teacher was detained after being accused of having inappropriate contact with a female pupil.
29-year-old Ruben Francisco Martin was detained on Thursday. He was accused with a second-degree felony known as having improper contact between an educator and a student.
The suspect is a teacher and assistant wrestling coach at Trinity High School in Euless. According to the police, the alleged victim was a 16-year-old student during the alleged s*xual abuse.
The allegations led to Euless police being called to the school district’s facility on April 11.

“An investigation was conducted by Euless detectives, and based on the evidence identified in this case, it was found that a criminal offense had occurred,” stated the police in a press statement.
According to the Hurst-Euless-Bedford Independent School District (HEBISD), Martin was placed on leave due to the accusations.
