According to the police of Prince George’s County, a student at DuVal High School who is only 15 years old has been accused of bringing a firearm to school on Wednesday morning.
At approximately 10:45 a.m., school security personnel at the high school, which is located in the 9800 block of Good Luck Road in the Lanham region, “found a student was in possession of a pistol,” according to a news release issued by the local police department.
“During the search of the student,” the security personnel discovered the gun, according to the police report. According to the authorities, a school resource officer took over the investigation.

According to the police, the student is being charged with having a loaded handgun on their person, having a handgun on their person while also being a minor in possession of a firearm, and having a handgun on their person while carrying it.
According to a letter that the principal of the high school, Pamela Smith, sent to the families of the pupils on Wednesday, neither students nor staff members were injured during the event. Smith continued by saying that the student in question “will be disciplined properly.”
