Police Said A Student Was Struck By A Car While Walking To School

Grand Haven, Mi – After being struck by a car on his way to school on Wednesday morning, a student from Lakeshore Middle School was taken to the hospital, according to Grand Haven police.

According to authorities, the student, a 13-year-old kid, is stable at a local hospital.

On Wednesday, February 15, police were called to the junction of Grand Avenue and South Seventh Street in response to a report that a young man had been hit by a car.

North of Lakeshore Middle School is where the intersection is. According to police, the kid was hit when he ran in front of a car traveling east on Grant Avenue.

The driver, a Grand Haven man aged 48, received no citation.
